CASMEC Presentation

On Friday, February 16th, we presented a session about the MIE program at the California All State Music Educators Conference in San Jose entitled "Every Student Every Day, What We've Learned About the Power of Music Education Through the Music Immersion Experience Program." Joining MIE Coordinator Samantha Theisen, and TOSA Jennifer Trujillo, was Roosevelt's Principal Cheryl Labanaro Wilson, SGUSD Superintendent Dr. John Pappalardo, and SGUSD School Board member Dr. Gary Thomas Scott. In addition, our San Gabriel Unified middle and high school music educators, Esther Minwary, Rachel Chew, Brian Basmajian, and Melissa Romero, were in attendance.

The purpose of the presentation was to share information about the Music Immersion Experience program, as well as to "promote the advancement of quality elementary music education by demonstrating what is possible when full potential is accessed."

Below are videos of each segment of the presentation for the purpose of sharing with school administrators, fellow educators, or other interested people.
