2018 MIE Data Report Released


The 2018 Roosevelt Elementary​ MIE Program Data and Evaluation Report has been released, containing qualitative and quantitative data from the last 3 years at Roosevelt Elementary School in San Gabriel Unified, coinciding with the implementation of the Music Immersion Experience program.

Some highlights from the findings:

  • 75% drop in discipline incidents school wide.

  • Improved School Climate Survey results.

  • CAASPP English Language Arts scores have risen 27 points overall.

  • CAASPP Math scores have risen 15 points overall.

  • 81% of Roosevelt Staff responded affirmatively that they see improvement in students' Self Esteem and Confidence because of the music program.

  • 90% of Parents responded affirmatively that they believe their children's academic skills have been strengthened because of their participation in music.
