Art Poster Submissions

Info to Be Released February 8, 2023

Arts Week 2023 Theme: EMPATHY

(Please try to incorporate the theme in your presentation/performance/submission/)

From SGUSD’s Portrait of a Graduate: “The San Gabriel Unified student accepts challenges, advocates for themselves, and never gives up. They know that failure is a part of a process, and they have the ability to cope and adapt. They are flexible. They know it might take time to master something and when they fail, their self-talk propels them forward. They face their own fears with courage. The San Gabriel Unified student is empowered by the process of pushing through challenges.”

Art Contest 2022 Results

A note from our VAPA Program Administrator: Thank you to ALL participants of the Art Contest!  Your contribution to Arts Fest is what made the event so spectacular!  Please know - Art is subjective, and impacts different people in different ways.

The purpose of the Arts Fest Art Contest is to use the motivating tool of "friendly competition" to encourage people to create. Everyone who created art, and submitted it to the contest is an absolute "winner" in our eyes.  If you did not win a prize in this year's art contest, it is not because your art is not worthy. We hope you will continue to be inspired to create and share your art. And please be sure to join us again next year!

What will happen to my artwork?

Artwork placing in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place will be displayed in the SGUSD District Art Gallery for 1 year. All other artwork will be delivered to school sites and available for pick up during the last week of school.
